Nel quadro del corso di Antropologia del mondo antico, lunedì 9 dicembre 2024, dalle 10:15 alle 11:45 nella Sala Riunioni di Palazzo Venera, Riccardo Palmisciano (Università degli Studi di Napoli “L’Orientale”) terrà un seminario dal titolo Piangere un eroe sulla scena tragica (Coefore, ma non solo).
Martedì 10 dicembre 2024, dalle 8:30 alle 10:00 in Aula B3 di Palazzo Boilleau, il professor Palmisciano terrà un altro seminario dal titolo Il lamento mancato nelle Coefore di Eschilo nel quadro del corso di Lingua e letteratura greca.
Il 6 dicembre 2024 si celebrerà presso l’Università di Pisa la giornata di Studi “Con Camões al centro”, in occasione del quinto centenario della supposta nascita del poeta portoghese. Si confronteranno studiosi italiani e portoghesi su temi interdisciplinari che spazieranno dalla intertestualità all’imitazione e alla traduzione. Sempre con Camões al centro.

Grazie al finanziamento dell’Istituto di Cultura di Tokyo, dell’Università di Tokyo, dell’Università di Kyoto e del PRIN 2017, nel mese di settembre 2024 il professor Alessandro Russo, docente di Lingua e Letteratura Latina presso il nostro Dipartimento, ha svolto lezioni, in collaborazione con Lucia Galli (dottoranda presso il Dipartimento di Civiltà e Forme del Sapere) sulla storia e la letteratura di Roma antica presso l’Università di Tokyo, l’Università di Kyoto, e presso l’International Christian University di Tokyo.
Lunedì 2 dicembre 2024 alle ore 10:15 nella Sala Riunioni di Palazzo Venera la professoressa Marcella Farioli (Université Paris-Est Créteil) terrà una relazione dal titolo Figure femminili pericolose e ideologia della polis nell’Atene di età classica.

The University of Cologne (Germany’s largest university with more than 50,000 students) is offering
an intensive course in German aimed to meet the specific needs of young researchers in classics
free access to lectures, classes and seminars at the departments of Classics, Ancient History and Classical Archaeology
seminars where you can present your research and discuss it with local faculty and graduate students
guided tours and excursions to the archaeological collections and sites of the Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium (Cologne) and other Roman settlements/places in the Rhineland
The language courses are sponsored by the University of Cologne. They are organized by the local International Office and require the immatriculation at the University of Cologne as a visiting student. The immatriculation fee for the summer semester 2020 lies at around 250€. Participants are expected to cover their travel expenses and living costs.
The German language classes will last for six weeks, meeting Monday through Friday, 4 hours a day. In the afternoons, participants are invited to attend lectures or to participate in classes and seminars in the Classics department. The University of Cologne offers a wide range of courses and has specialists in virtually every field of Classical studies from papyrology and epigraphy to Greek and Roman literature, linguistics and Medieval or Byzantine studies.

a confirmation of reciprocity by your department confirming that it would be willing to accept a Cologne Classics student as a visiting (auditing) student at some point in the future.
